Everything you need to know before your authentic farm tour La Fortuna experience at Tuete Farm Tours.

A 2.5-hour guided walk through the farm: our Melipona stingless bee garden (and why bees matter for the ecosystem), a visit with the farm birds, a stop with our rescued wildlife like white-tailed deer, the goat dairy, a burro ride for kids, and a full tour of our cattle dairy with an explanation of how it works, including a visit to the baby calves.

Yes — with all of them, farm animals and rescued wildlife alike. Kids can ride the burro, and anyone who wants to can try riding our bull. Our animals roam freely around the property and it's completely safe to be near them.

Absolutely. The Tico Farm Tour is designed for all audiences and all ages, in private groups of up to 10 people — perfect for families, couples, and friends.

Comfortable, closed-toe shoes and long pants are recommended. Don't worry about your clothes getting wet or a little dirty — that's part of the real farm experience.

Lunch isn't included, but it can be arranged on request. The afternoon session does include a tasting of our own homemade cheese, fresh milk, and tortillas.

If they're grown and already know how to survive in the wild, we release them. If they were rescued as babies and never learned to live on their own, we give them freedom and full care right here on the farm, so they live safely with food and space to roam.

A cozy fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom in each of the three bedrooms, a swimming pool, a family jacuzzi, private parking, a private access road, and WiFi. Breakfast isn't included but can be added for $10 per person.

We're about 25 minutes from downtown La Fortuna and 20 minutes from the Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake — close enough for a day trip, far enough to feel like true countryside.

Yes, both options are available separately — you can book only the Tico Farm Tour ($55) or only a stay at the cabin, whichever fits your trip.
